UPDATE: The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells AkronNewsNow that the closed section of U.S. 224 in eastern Summit County is once again open.
There's a Frost Advisory in effect for most of Northeast Ohio, including Akron and Canton, from midnight until 9 AM Sunday...
Authorities tell us there are no large vehicles (trucks, etc.), just cars, and no reports of any fatalities in the US 224 crash at 532.
US 224 is still closed due to a 6 car accident at Ohio 532 on Summit/Portage Co. line. East Waterloo Road can be quick alternate.
Er, we meant East Waterloo Road is separate from U.S. 224 between Neal Road and 532.
Oh, and East Waterloo Road is separate from 532 at that point, and can get you around locally...though it's probably somewhat busy.
U.S. 224 ACCIDENT has road closed from Ohio 532 to Neal Road. I-76 would be your obvious east/west alternate.

WINTER STORM WARNING now in effect for Summit-Portage-Cuyahoga until 9 PM. Additional 2-4 inches of snow expected.
ODOT says 76 WESTBOUND is open again at 532. Traffic cameras show once-backed up traffic from there moving slowly through east Akron.
Bath Township reports "multiple" crashes in this weather. Then again, so is everyone else.

That accident on Route 8 NORTHBOUND past Perkins has been cleared...just in time for regular afternoon rush hour traffic to fill in.

In Norton: The exit ramp will be CLOSED on Rt. 21 NB at Rt. 585 until noon. Crews will be cleaning up the roads.
