As expected, the National Weather Service has cancelled the Severe Thunderstorm Watch for all Ohio counties, including the Akron area.
Stormy weather to the north of us is weakening and moving into Pennsylvania...nothing heading in from the west at this time.
Severe weather warnings to the north/northeast of Akron/Canton have all been cancelled or have expired. Severe Thunderstorm Watch still up.
A pop-up storm or two in central/eastern Portage County...no warnings associated with those at this time.
Severe Thunderstorm Warnings to the north... Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Ashtabula Counties. What's popped up appears to be heading southeast.
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH is in effect until 8:00 PM: Summit, Stark, Portage, Cuyahoga and other NE Ohio counties to the east...

Even if APS supt James' recommendations are approved, district needs to cut at least another $3 mill in FY2013, maybe $2 mill more (colls)
These are final recommendations by APS Supt James, board hasn't voted on them or five year budget plan yet (latter due by 5/31).
APS staff cuts do not include early retirement so far. Incentives have boosted that, but numbers aren't yet final.
